Nightingale and Sierra
Sierra and Nightingale’s owner no longer wanted them because of their upkeep and because they ate the trees, so they were put up for sale. But when no one else wanted them, ARRR offered to take them. Sierra and Nightingale are angora goats, probably about 12 years old. Both are very timid but will eat treats from our hands if we offer them quietly and calmly.
Emmy and Lou
Both Emmy and Lou came to ARRR on July 3, 2015. The little blond colored one is Lou. She is from a sever neglect case that involved the MN State Inspector and a Sheriff’s Department seizure. Hightail Ranch took part in the rescue, and Lou is one of the animals saved from one of the most horrific neglect cases we have heard of. Lou loves affection and is very friendly. She has put on quite a bit of weight since she arrived and we are trying to figure out how to put her on a diet… she so loves to eat. Emmy is the white goat with brown patches. She was found wandering loose and brought in by law enforcement. It is presumed that she was a 4-H project sold for slaughter; her owner could not be traced. Emmy is also friendly… especially to Lou.
